Looking Back

Can you believe we are entering a new decade?! What is even scarier is we are entering our 8th year as Jane Harrison Jewellery and boy oh boy what a time it's been.

So I thought this would be the perfect time to look back and reflect on what has been achieved and how our work has developed.

The Lonely Blue Tit necklace was one of my favourite pieces from my Glasgow School of Art Degree Show in 2012. I was inspired by my garden and sentimental memories I made there. I loved creating a series of narrative pieces that meant so much to me! I still love the work I created then and it was a great starting point for me. I had so many wonderful opportunities from this body of work.

It was at this time I started creating the Spring Awakening collection that I still love making now. Although I think it is fair to say my execution is a little better now. Over the past 5 years I have taken time away from my own business to work as a bench jeweller which has really helped me develop my skills and improve my own work, without this opportunity I wouldn't be making the work I am now. But I am hoping in 2020 I can dedicate more time to my own business and take it to the next level.

I hope that you will continue to follow and support my work in the new decade! But here's a look back at some of our favourite pieces from the past eight years.
